“Few people realise that a 100 per cent organic skin cream is very difficult to achieve”, says Sharon McGlinchey holistic beauty therapist and creater of MV Organic Skincare. “ The problem lies in emulsifying oils and water to make a cream. All emulsifiers are to some extent synthetics and, therefore, not organic.” McGlinchey can achieve 99 per cent organic content in her facial oil blends which don’t need to be emulsified, while her creams are around 85 per cent.
